before the storm

Yesterday was a fun, relaxed day with a sunset session before the big storm rolled into California today. Caitlín is a friend from college and a fellow Irish dancer and lover of faire and artistic things. She graduated a year before me and after that we never really saw each other. It was really great to catch up and enjoy a fun session. I also used her to start a new project called "N.E.S.W." Here's that, a few goodies, and the main piece. ♡

I met with my dear friend Brittney yesterday afternoon. She shot me for her senior project and I shot her for a new concept piece. We enjoyed ourselves hiking up to the top of the hill to be graced with a beautiful view of Claremont and the surrounding cities. Here are a few random outtakes and portraits and my final finished piece, "removed from the dream."

The Great California Road Trip

I returned late Saturday night from a 9 day trip to Northern California (really Central Cali too) and have tons of images to share! I won't go into distracting detail but these are the major places that we visited: Sacramento, Davis, San Fransisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz and Monterey. The trip was mainly for Lucas' 25th birthday and a chance to visit his cousin who attends UC Davis. The trip took about 5+ hours to get there from where we live in SoCal, and about 6+ to get back from Monterey where we stayed our last night.
